The Romanian attacker believes he has what it takes to outshine the newly-arrived PSG star, and is looking forward to joining Ajaccio as he closes in on a move to Ligue 1
The 33-year-old attacker played alongside the Sweden international at Juventus in 2005-06, and he is confident that he can outshine his former team-mate once he completes his move to Ajaccio.
"I know Zlatan well, he's a good friend. I'll set him a challenge to see who scores more. Even though he's in the better team, it's no problem. I'd bet on myself," Mutu stated to reporters.
The Romanian attacker recently left Cesena and is expected to complete his move to Ajaccio in the upcoming days.
"Ajaccio are a good club for me at a good time. The president showed me such passion, I really appreciated the way he spoke to me," he added.
"What he had to say interested me, and I want to be a part of what he's doing. I want to feel I'm important and useful."
Ajaccio held PSG to a scoreless draw on Sunday, and have collected four points from two games in Ligue 1 so far.
