Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing a striker, and that Ezequiel Lavezzi could well fit the bill.

The Ligue 1 runners-up have been linked to a host of new signings ahead of next season's Champions League campaign and the 52-year-old admitted that the Argentine could be among the reinforcements.

"For now we have not done anything about Lavezzi, but he matches our targets. The priority for us is a striker," Ancelotti told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"We are looking for three or four players with character and experience in the Champions League. One per department.

"It is too early to name names."

It looks set to be a busy summer for PSG, with Anzhi Makhachkala striker Samuel Eto'o and Real Madrid's Gonzalo Higuain also touted for a potential move to the Parc des Princes.
