Carlo Ancelotti denies Paris Saint-Germain interest in Inter's Diego Milito
The 52-year-old insists the French giants have not made an attempt to bring in the Argentine forward during his reign, and reveals his side only have eyes for younger alternatives
By Livio Caferoglu
The forward was reportedly a winter transfer target for the Parisians, who made no secret of their desire to land a high-profile attacker, but according to their boss, the Inter star was never under consideration, and hinted he did not fit in with their recruitment policy.
"I do not know if the club wanted to sign Milito this summer, but in January, we did not try to sign him," Ancelotti was quoted as saying by Tuttomercatoweb.
"I also do not believe that we will try to [sign Milito] in the future, because we want young strikers."
The 32-year-old joined Inter in 2009 from Genoa and has scored 39 goals in 75 Serie A appearances to date, but has been linked with a move away from San Siro in recent months.
