| Salvatore Sirigu produced an impressive display to stifle an Evian side who at one point looked to be springing a shock at the Parc des Princes. The Italian goalkeeper looked in good form, denying Yannick Sagbo and Sidney Govou, and was only beaten by Cedric Cambon's close range header as les Parisiens ultimately prevailed. |

Henri Bedimo starred as Montpellier kept up the heat on PSG with a 1-0 victory over Stade Brestois. The left-back was resolute in defensive whilst also illustrating his attacking capabilities as he imposed his authority on the wing. Joining him in the line-up is team-mate and la Paillade captain Hilton who was a solid rock in the heart of Montpellier's defence. The Brazilian kept his cool by denying the visitors' attackers. Nancy captain Andre Luiz played an important role as his side held high-flyers Stade Rennes to a 0-0 draw at Stade Marcel Picot. The defender held his own to frustrate the visitors with well-timed interceptions, which proved to be crucial. Rounding off the backline thi week is Ajaccio's Samuel Bohours, who had a good 90 minutes in his side's 1-1 draw against Nice. Although the defence was beaten by a late equaliser, the kind of form shown by the relegation candidates could be crucial come May. |

Renaud Cohade makes his debut in the Team of the Week after impressing in Valenciennes' 2-1 win over Dijon. The VA man scored with the game's first shot within two minutes of play as Daniel Sanchez's side won on the road for the first time this season. Montpellier's Joris Marveaux joins him after an assured midfield display in la Paillade's 1-0 victory over Brest kept them three points behind PSG. Marveaux bossed the midfield throughout the game as his contribution enabled a third straight victory. PSG's Nene had arguably the best performance of this week's XI, as he put Evian to the sword with two goals. The Brazilian enabled les Parisiens to race out of the blocks after the interval to score within seconds to level, before netting a penalty as Carlo Ancelotti's side won 3-1. |

Gael Danic enters Team of the Week for a second time this season after playing an important part in his side's 2-1 win over Dijon. Danic scored one and terrorised the hosts' defence at a frosty Stade Gaston Gerard to register their first away win. Marseille's Brandao looks a rejuvenated player to the one that turned out for L'OM before his year-long stint in Brazil. The much-maligned attacker scored a sumptuous first-time volley past Hugo Lloris and wreaked havoc all round in the club's 2-2 draw against Lyon on Sunday. Meanwhile, new signing Eduardo continues his dream run at Ajaccio scoring for the third time in as many games, as the Corsicans were ultimately denied a record fifth straight victory in Ligue 1.
