Rennes set to unveil Paris Saint-Germain's Mevlut Erding
The Turkish international will be presented to the press on Wednesday afternoon, after completing the formality of his medical
By Enis Koylu
The Turkish international had found first-team chances at Parc des Princes sparing since the inclusion of the likes of Kevin Gameiro, and has decided that his future lies away from Carlo Ancelotti's side.
"I had offers from abroad, where I would have earned more money, but I privileged the sporting aspect of things," Erding told L'Equipe.
"[Rennes boss Frederic] Antonetti always wanted to recruit me. Now I want to show him what I can do, I want to repay the faith he has shown to me."
The 24-year-old will wear the number nine shirt at Route de Lorient, and will be officially unveiled after completing the formality of his medical.
"Currently in Rennes to complete the traditional medical, Mevlut Erding will be presented to the press this Wednesday afternoon at 17.00CET," a statement on the club's website read.
Erding joined Paris Saint-Germain from Sochaux in 2009.
