Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti has hinted that the Ligue 1 giants could make a move for Real Madrid midfielder Kaka and AC Milan forward Alexandre Pato at the end of the season.

The French outfit were believed to be close to signing the 22-year-old striker last week, but the transfer eventually collapsed. PSG have long been linked with former Ballon d'Or winner Kaka as well, and the trainer conceded that a move could materialise in the summer.

Ancelotti is of the opinion that a winter transfer for either of the two is very unlikely, but is hopeful of luring them to Paris in the summer.

"The Pato story is quite bizarre. There are certain things going on we don't know about. The deal is dead for January, but only for January," the coach told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Kaka could be available in June. He has struggled with injury at Madrid and faces stiff competition for places. He's still a great player though."

The newly appointed PSG trainer then went on to stress that he's quite satisfied with his current squad, but added that there will be a number of new arrivals.

"Stars will arrive, but the spine of this group will remain the same. More than half of the current players will be here next season.

"We have a very good group of players. [Javier] Pastore, [Jeremy] Menez and Nene are well-known, but [Mathieu] Bodmer is also very valuable.

"[Salvatore] Sirigu is an excellent goalkeeper and [Mamadou] Sakho has a massive potential. [Kevin] Gameiro is my main attacker, but I want another one. I want four in my squad."

PSG currently sit top of the Ligue 1 table with 43 points from 20 games.
