Olympique Lyonnais star Michel Bastos has stressed that he has never said that Inter defender Maicon would leave the Nerazzurri for Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window.

Several reports earlier this week claimed that the Lyon winger had revealed that the Inter right-back would bid farewell to his current club this winter in order to join Bastos in France, but the Lyon man has now insisted that he never made any comments on Maicon's future.

"I have not said anything about Maicon. I do not know where journalists get this idea from," Bastos said on his official Twitter account.

The 30-year-old Maicon has a contract with Inter until the summer of 2013, and a Nerazzurri exit in the winter transfer window seems very unlikely following the imminent departure of fellow right-back Jonathan to Parma.
