‘Joe Cole was a gamble for Lille, but so far he’s been successful’ – Moussa Sow hails impact of on-loan Liverpool midfielder
The 30-year-old became one of the few Englishmen to play abroad by temporarily moving to France in the summer, and has impressed his new colleagues with his commitment

The England international has made 17 appearances for the Stade Lille-Metropole outfit since his temporary switch in the summer, with the French side hinting that they would like to pursue a permanent transfer.
Cole’s level of commitment in particular has impressed the Senegalese forward.
“He's a great pro,” Sow told RMC Sports.
“Along with [David] Rozenhal, he is the first in the locker room in the morning.
“He is always there ready, he is very involved and highly motivated, even when he's not playing. It's a surprise to see him like that.
“It was a gamble for the club, and so far it's been successful.”
Cole, 30, made the move across the English Channel after enduring a difficult season at Anfield in 2010-11, and has already expressed his happiness with life in France.
The former Chelsea man has scored three goals for the Ligue 1 side, who are currently third in the table.
