Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has always wanted to sign Porto attacker Hulk, the player's agent has claimed.

A report in news daily O JOGO suggested earlier in the week that PSG had joined the race for the Brazil international, who is understood to have an array of interested parties.

Chelsea and Anzhi Makhachkala have both been linked with Hulk, with the Russian Premier League side having narrowly missed out on signing the 25-year-old, according to an agent who works closely with the cash-rich club.

Hulk's agent says he was not surprised to hear about PSG's reported interest and revealed that Leonardo has long been after his client.

"There is nothing concrete between Hulk and Paris Saint-Germain,"
Teodoro Fonseca told le10sport.com. "Nevertheless, Leonardo has always wanted Hulk at his clubs.

"When he was at Inter and AC Milan, he already tried to sign him."

Questioned about Paris Saint-Germain's ambitious project, Fonseca said: "It is magnificent. The town, the fans, the structure, the stadium, the club have everything to become big again.

"Any player would love to play for PSG and for us Brazilians, they are a very special club. Hulk respects PSG and their history a lot."

The agent then ruled out a move during the winter transfer window, but did not close the door on a switch when the season comes to an end.

"This winter, no," Fonseca noted. "Hulk is only thinking about Porto, the Champions League and the Brazil national team.

"At the end of the season, however, we will pay close attention to offers from Paris."
