The Italian goalkeeper believes the iconic midfielder would help revive the club, while saying he is happy with his first months at the Parc des Princes

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu says he is thrilled to see LA Galaxy star
David Beckham being linked with a move to his club.

The French capital outfit have been associated with a January move for the 36-year-old midfielder, who will become a free agent in November following the expiry of his MLS contract.

Sirigu, who moved to PSG from Palermo in the summer, believes that the England international would be a terrific asset to his side.

"I am fascinated by the possibility Beckham could join us," the Italian custodian told the club's website. "He is still a good player, despite his age.

"I had the chance to play against him when he was at AC Milan. He is a player who could change the image of the club. Beckham's arrival would be very important for the club."

The 24-year-old keeper affirmed he is happy with his start to life at PSG, who are leading the Ligue 1 table on 20 points.

"I make a positive assessment [of my time here so far]," Sirigu noted. "We have been playing well so far and we must give our best every day.

"We have played some 15 matches and we need to remain focused."

PSG visit Ajaccio this weekend defending a three-point lead at the top of the league standings.
