General director of Stade Rennais, Pierre Dreossi, has made it clear that coveted midfielder Yann M'Vila will not leave the Ligue 1 side for Spanish giants Real Madrid this summer.
Recent reports have suggested that the France international could be on his way to Santiago Bernabeu, but Dreossi has insisted there has not been any contact between the two clubs regarding a potential transfer, and, in any case, he has no desire to sell the 20-year-old.
"Real Madrid have not called us about the availability of M'Vila, but I do not intend to listen even if they do approach us," Dreossi was quoted as saying by Marca.
"M'Vila is not leaving the club. We agreed on a contract extension for one additional season and he stays at Rennes. If he moves on, it will be next year. He's still focused on the club and has not told us that he wants to leave."
M'Vila is considered to be one of the best young midfielders in Europe, and has already represented France at senior level under coach Laurent Blanc.
