Olympique Marseille have reportedly reached an agreement with Nice for young striker Loic Remy, although the transfer fee is yet to be disclosed.

According to Provence, there are still several obstacles for OM to overcome and one of which is that they have not agreed personal terms with the player yet.

German side Hoffenheim have also tabled a bid which meets Nice's valuation and the French club's president Stellardo Gilbert revealed that Remy will evaluate the proposals of both Marseille and Hoffenheim before making a decision which team he wishes to join.

The second hurdle that could prevent OM from securing the 23-year-old is a clause that he currently has with rivals Olympique Lyonnais. The clause stipulates that Lyon have five days to match or exceed Marseille's offer.

Remy has been one of the most sought after young forwards in Europe, with Premier League rivals in particular Liverpool, Arsenal, West Ham United, Stoke City and Tottenham Hotspur all gunning for his signature over the summer.

Marseille recently confirmed that they are close to signing striker Andre-Pierre Gignac from Tolouse, but Didier Deschamps is still looking for another attacker following the departure of Mamadou Niang to Fenerbahce and the imminent exit of Hatem Ben Arfa.
