thumbnail Hello,

Is the 26-year-old good enough to play for England?

Sunderland striker Darren Bent was left out of Fabio Capello's squad for the World Cup in South Africa but we want to know whether has he done enough to warrant a place up in England's starting XI for the upcoming international games.

The striker grabbed 24 Premier League goals last season for the Black Cats, yet Capello was unpertubed by this fact and left him out of the squad, with Bent admitting it came as a huge blow.

"At first it was hard," Bent told Sky Sports.

"It hurt not to be there on the plane but it is part and parcel of life. The manager has got difficult decisions to make.

"He had in his mind who he wanted to take to the World Cup and I just didn't make the grade.

"It acted like a driving force to come back and be better than I was last season."

But it looks like after England's disappointing tournament in South Africa that Bent will get his chance. He already played in last month's qualifier against Switzerland, scoring in the 3-1 victory, and is widely tipped to start against Montenegro on Tuesday.

It [scoring against Switzerland] was a weight lifted off my shoulders," Bent said.

"When I knew for certain it was a goal it felt like I could breathe. Hopefully now there will be many more."

But what do you think about Bent as a England striker? Is he good enough to play at this level since he scores regularly in one of the toughest leagues in the world? Is he a decent
addition to the squad which gives Capello more options, or does he simply not have the talent and skill required at international level?
