thumbnail Hello,

The future of the club looks to be secure after chairman Brian Fenton departed with the Shakers set to bring in new board members

Bury have confirmed they have completed the takeover of their club after the current board of directors resigned from their positions.

New board members are due to be appointed shortly with the club hoping the relevant paperwork will also be completed by Wednesday 29 May.

A statement on the club’s official website confirmed the details and looked towards the future with the club set to begin next season in League Two following their relegation.

“The new board of directors will be bringing in key individuals to assist in bringing new ideas and business models to ensure the financial security of Bury Football Club moving forward,” read the statement.

“The new board of directors have met with Kevin Blackwell and support him 100% in his vision of returning Bury FC to the position it deserves.

“The new board would like to thank Jim Lomas and Neville Neville for their support and hard work in assisting with the due diligence process.  Without their input this would not have been possible.”
