Mark Cooper oversaw his side ease to victory thanks to two early strikes as the Robins moved into the League One playoff placesSwindon racked up a third straight win to move into a League One play-off spot with a 2-0 triumph over Notts County on Friday.
A Nile Ranger effort and Dany N'Guessan's penalty within the first half-hour proved enough to seal the points for Mark Cooper's side at the County Ground, with Danny Haynes blazing a second-half spot-kick over for Notts County.
It took just 11 minutes for Swindon to open the scoring. Alex Pritchard whipped a corner in with former Newcastle United forward Ranger rising highest to plant his header home.
Callum McGregor came close to equalising but was denied by Wes Foderingham in the Swindon goal.
But the hosts doubled their lead in the 28th minute as Nathan Byrne was felled in the box by Mustapha Dumbuya and N'Guessan converted from 12 yards.
Haynes saw a goal disallowed for offside before half-time, but he had an even better effort to cut the deficit with 20 minutes to go.
McGregor was chopped down in the box, giving Haynes a chance from the resulting penalty, but he lifted his effort too high and over the bar.
The win takes Swindon fifth ahead of the weekend's action, while Notts County remain 22nd.
