Pompey administrators PKF are set to take to the High Court in order to force through the sale of the club’s Fratton Park home to the Pompey Supporters Trust (PST)Portsmouth is set to take place on either April 10 or 11.
The League One side, who have been in administration since February 17 last year, are the subject of a proposed takeover by Pompey Supporters Trust (PST).
However, the club's former owners Portpin are currently refusing to negotiate on their asking price for Fratton Park, with chairman Balram Chainrai adamant that he is owed £12 million.
This stumbling block could see the club expelled from the Football League after officials declared the ownership of the stadium a key part of Portsmouth's continued participation.
A statement on the club’s website read: “As is often the case in such situations, we are unlikely to get confirmation of the exact date from the court until a few days prior to the hearing.”
Administrators PKF hope to force through the cut-price sale of Fratton Park in order to save the cash-strapped club.
