The fixtures for the new season have been released as 24 teams get ready to do battle in the football league's middle tier
Portsmouth will start their League One campaign against local rivals Bournemouth after their relegation from the Championship last season, while Coventry and Doncaster face away trips to Yeovil and Walsall respectively.Paolo Di Canio's League Two champions Swindon play Hartlepool at Victoria Park in their first game of the League One season, while runners-up Shrewsbury travel to Sheffield United, who were beaten by Huddersfield in last year's play-off final.
New Year's Day sees the battle of the promoted and relegated clubs come to the fore (along with the small matter of the South Yorkshire derby) whilst April serves up a tantalising trio of weekends as the season draws to a climax.
April 6 sees League One new-boys Swindon and Crewe go head-to-head, alongside potential promotion six-pointers as Portsmouth tackle Stevenage and MK Dons face Crawley.
Pompey take on Sheffield United in the penultimate weekend of fixtures as Preston and Tranmere lock local horns, before Saturday 27th rounds off the season in tantalising fashion.
