Laurent Blanc is to lay his authority as France coach on the line immediately when les Bleus challenge Norway in early August as he is ready to axe every single member of the squad who took part in the World Cup.
Under the charge of Raymond Domenech, France endured a harrowing campaign in South Africa. Beset by problems off the field, including a player strike, Blanc is to try and solve these early in his reign by simply letting the 23 who travelled to the competition brood at their clubs when les Bleus travel to Oslo on August 11.
During his time at Girondins de Bordeaux, with whom he claimed a Ligue 1 title and enjoyed a strong run in the Champions League, Blanc rarely made controversial decisions with his selection, but he was regularly bold, never afraid to take off a defensive player and throw on a forward if the need was there.
This situation is very different but it seems that Blanc is considering a different kind of drastic action. Disappointed with the lack of leadership shown by the FFF (Federation Francaise de Football), ‘Le President’ could be ready to immediately stamp his authority on matters.
