How the new White Hart Lane will look when it is opened, scheduled for season 2013-14. The naming rights to the stadium will be sold to help fund the £400m development

After the first proposal was not granted planning permission, Spurs have redesigned their plans, with a larger and relocated public space around the stadium. To the right are new apartments

Historic buildings would have been demolished in the original designs - now they are retained, with a sweeping, raised platform behind them and the club shop looking out on to buildings where the old boardroom was situated

A new courtyard has now been implemented as part of the plans to retain the historic buildings

The view from the stands - the steep gradient and close proximity to the pitch have been specially designed to intensify the atmosphere at the 56,000-seater stadium
