thumbnail Hello,

Valencia seemingly always score at home and our Spanish expert Phil Kitromilides believes the visitors to Mestalla on Friday night will also be able to get on the scoresheet

A potentially attractive tie at Mestalla awaits on Friday evening as Valencia host a Malaga side who were hugely fortunate to win their opening match of the La Liga season.

The Andalusians benefited from an enormously controversial decision to rule out a 94th minute equaliser for Athletic Bilbao dramatically scored by their goalkeeper with Malaga holding on to beat the Basques 1-0.

Valencia meanwhile scored a late goal of their own as they recorded a creditable 1-1 draw away to Sevilla
having played a large part of the second half with 10 men.

William Hill price the hosts on Friday night at 8/15 (1.53) for the win while Malaga can be backed at 5/1 (6.00) and the draw is offered at 3/1 (4.00).

When playing at home in the Primera Division, Valencia always seem to score.

Indeed the only time in their last 27 home matches when Los Che have failed to scored was the visit of champions Atletico last season, with the east coast club scoring twice at home against both Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively.

Clearly nothing is a  given in football, but we can be therefore pretty confident of a goal for the home side, which means the price of 4/5 (1.80) for both teams to score looks interesting.

Malaga managed to score in the majority of their away games last season and new manager Javi Garcia wants his side to be even more expansive which should give punters plenty of confidence in backing the both teams to score selection on Friday evening.

That desire to be more dynamic going forward should bring a goal, meaning both teams to score is a solid selection.
