Arsenal are the visitors this weekend in the second game-week of the new Premier League season. The Gunners came from a goal down against Crystal Palace to eventually win 2-1 thanks to a last minute Aaron Ramsey goal. Paddy Power price them at 8/5 (2.60) to beat Everton.
The home side are priced as slight outsiders at 9/5 (2.80), but with wins proving tough to come by for the Merseysiders, it’s worth avoiding them. If you fancy the Toffee’s to draw once again, you can back that at 9/4 (3.25) with Paddy Power.
With both sides capable of goals, it’s no surprise to see both teams to score at 4/7 (1.57) and over 2.5 goals at 8/11 (1.73).
Both teams have strengthened up-front this summer, with Romelu Lukaku being signed on a permanent deal at Goodison Park and Alexis Sanchez being brought in from Barcelona for the Gunners.
With the goals a tad short to back, it’s worth looking at the outright market. Arsenal were sensational against Manchester City in the Charity Shield at Wembley two weeks ago and with sides coming at them and trying to win the game, Arsene Wenger’s men are very good at exploiting gaps and making the most of their opportunities on the break.
Everton will fancy their chances against Arsenal after beating them 3-0 last season, but a lot has changed and there is a renewed confidence within the Arsenal camp after their FA Cup victory.
With Everton desperately needing a win to kick start their summer, expect Arsenal to take advantage of their poor form and make it two wins from two in the league.
