Athletic Bilbao - Granada Betting Preview: Why both teams can get on the scoresheet

The new San Mames stadium has seen plenty of goals this season and our Spanish expert Phil Kitromilides believes neither side with keep a clean sheet on Friday night
The air of invinsibility surrounding the new San Mames stadium has in the last few weeks been eradicted. Atletico Madrid inflictied Athletic's first defeat in their new stadium at the start of the month in the Copa del Rey before Espanyol became the first ever team to win there in the league, in the Basques' last home game.

The side from Bilbao then will be looking to get back to winning ways at home on Friday night against a Granada team badly lacking in form. Paddy Power price  Athletic at 4/9 (1.44) to claim three points while the visitors are available at 6/1 (7.00). A draw is priced at 16/5 (4.20).

As mentioned, Granada are a little out of sorts with the Andalusians losing four of their last five league matches, but this slump in form does not mean they cannot cause the hosts some problems.

Athletic have been conceding goals with regularity this season particularly at home and the price of 10/11 (1.91) for both teams to score looks like an excellent option for those looking for a solid potential return on this clash.

This bet has paid out in 10 of the Basques' last 12 league games at home, with Athletic scoring in every one of the 16 home matches they have played in all competitions this season.

While Granada are not the most prolific side in the Primera Divison, they certainly have enough about them to get on the scoresheet, as they did twice against Ernesto Valverde's men earlier on in the season.
