Malaga - Real Sociedad Betting Preview: Why a stalemate at the break is likely

After four wins out of four over the weekend, our man in Spain believes that a tight opening 45 minutes is in store on Monday evening at La Rosaleda
With certain results over the weekend not going their way, Malaga have slumped to 17th in the table - just a place and three points outside the relegation zone.

The Andalusians have failed to put together a run of any consistency this season, and will need to start picking up some more wins if they are to stay in the Primera Division.

Real Sociedad for their part have just slipped off the pace in recent weeks in terms of the battle for fourth spot with the side from San Sebastian winning just one of their last five league games. William Hill price a home win at 15/4 (4.75) with Real Sociedad offered at the same odds and the draw available at 3/1 (4.0).

Both teams then are not firing on all cylinders currently and as such backing a first-half draw could be an attractive option at 21/20 (2.05).

La Real are a talented side yet they have been patchy on the road and, despite having some excellent players, it sometimes takes a while for them to click.

Malaga for their part have also been a little sluggish in the first half of matches, meaning that a tight opening 45 minutes could well be on the cards tonight.

The price offered allows punters to more than double their money in the case of a half-time draw and looks to be a solid option.
