Real Madrid - Celta Vigo Betting Preview: Back the hosts to win by at least three goals

Our man at the Santiago Bernabeu, Phil Kitromilides, believes that Los Blancos should cruise to victory in their first game of the year after the resumption of La Liga
Real Madrid begin what they hope will be a considerably more successful year than the previous 12 months with a home game against Celta Vigo. 2013 saw Los Blancos defeated in the final of the Copa del Rey as well as conceding the league title to Barcelona by a record margin.

Things can only get better for Carlo Ancelotti's men, then, and bet365 price a victory for Madrid in their first game of the year at just 1/12 (1.08). A seemingly unlikely draw is available at 10/1 (11.0).

Celta, for their part, have had a curious season so far, with three of their four league victories coming on the road, and they are offered at 26/1 (21.00) to record a fifth win of the current campaign.
Given Madrid's position as overwhelming favorites it is difficult to find anything of huge appeal amongst the myriad of markets offered by bet365. Backing over 1.5 goals in the first half is often our go-to bet for matches at the Santiago Bernabeu yet it is offered at 4/6 (1.65), which is just a little too small for us to consider.

Instead, backing the hosts to win with a -2 goal handicap at 8/11 (1.72) looks to be a more appealing option. This bet pays out with pleasing regularity in Madrid's home matches and has proved the correct selection in each of their last three league games in their own stadium.

The price is admittedly not the biggest, yet the bet has a great chance of paying out against a Celta side that has consistently conceded goals this season.
