The Latics travel to the seaside in the early kick-off in the Championship on Saturday, with our tipster backing "No" on the 'both teams to score' marketAfter a fantastic start to the season, Blackpool have tailed off somewhat since the middle of September, and find themselves on the edge of the play-offs after occupying top spot a few weeks before.
They welcome a Wigan side who have been unable to put any consistent form together in their league campaign, despite having a strong start in the Europa League.
Blackpool come into this match without a win in their last five games. Paul Ince's side have drawn four matches in a row following a defeat to Millwall last month.
The Tangerines started the season superbly though, winning five of their first six Championship matches.
On Saturday lunchtime they will be without their manager, who has been handed a five match stadium ban for his conduct away at Bournemouth, but William Hill still price them at 7/4 (2.75) to get back to winning ways.
Wigan have already played 13 competitive matches this season, thanks to their involvement in the Europa League. Owen Coyle will be disappointed with the fact his team haven't built on some solid wins, but with 14 points won from nine Championship matches, if the Latics can win their two matches in hand in the league, they would be in the play-off positions.
William Hill price them as slight favourites at 8/5 (2.60) to take all three points. The same firm price the draw at 11/5 (3.20).
With the under 2.5 goals market too short to back, it's worth looking else where to find a stand-out bet. Backing "No" on the 'both teams to score' market at even money (2.00) with William Hill seems extremely generous.
This bet would have paid out in all six of Wigan's away matches this season, as well as four of Blackpool's five home games.
