LA Galaxy - Montreal Impact Betting Preview: Why the hosts should be backed to lead at the break

Our tipster, Phil Kitromilides, believes that the Canadian side's habit of conceding early goals will favour the their hosts, who have an excellent record at home
Montreal Impact arrive in California on a horrible run of form which has seen them pick up just one point from a possible 15.

LA Galaxy, meanwhile, are not enjoying their best moment, either, although at home they still remain an imposing prospect, with William Hill pricing them at 8/15 (1.53) for the win.

The Impact are offered at 5/1 (6.00) but, with just one win in nine away matches, the Canadians are not an appealing option.

Six wins from their last eight home matches confirms the Galaxy's status as a clear favorites and, while the price for them to win outright is too small to consider, odds of 17/20 (1.85) for them to win the first half look tempting.

The visitors have had a problem conceding early goals recently, having lost the first half in four of their last five MLS fixtures.

The Galaxy, for their part, scored four in the first half against Chivas USA last time out and, with their strong home record against a team badly out of form, they should be backed to win the first half on Wednesday evening at a price which looks generous.

LA Galaxy to win the first half at 10/11 (1.91) 1.0pts with William Hill
