Porto - Atletico Madrid Betting Preview: Why goals at both ends seems unlikely

Phil Kitromilides believes the similar style of play of these two teams will result in a low scoring encounter when they meet in Portugal on Tuesday evening
Atletico Madrid make the short trip to Porto's Estadio do Dragao absolutely flying having made their best start to a La Liga campaign ever and off the back of a first league win over Real Madrid in 14 years.

Diego Simeone has created a ruthlessly efficient side, one in which every player knows what is demanded of them, and one which is extremely difficult to beat.

Coral price them at 13/8 (2.63) to record their second UEFA Champions League win of the campaign while Porto can be backed at 7/4 (2.75). The draw is available at 11/5 (3.20).
Atletico's prowess comes from their extreme effectiveness. They will not steamroll many teams, but rather break them down efficiently, and as a result of that approach they will provide Porto with a stern test.

The Portuguese champions have made an excellent start themselves, although they too have been efficient rather than spectacular.
The bookies think this will be a lower scoring affair with under 2.5 goals offered at just 8/13 (1.62). This selection appeals greatly having paid out in three out of Porto's last four games.

However, the price is not big enough so we will go with backing "No" in the both teams to score market at 10/11 (1.91). If the game is likely to be low scoring it stands to reason that it is unlikely to see goals at both ends.

Furthermore this bet has paid out in nine of Porto's last 11 Champions League matches and is a shrewd selection offering decent odds.
