Granada-Athletic Bilbao Betting Preview: Why a half-time draw looks likely

Our man in Spain Phil Kitromilides is expecting a tight game at the Nuevo Los Carmenes this evening and thinks the game will still be all square after 45 minutes
For the third Monday in a row, Athletic Bilbao are in action and that is a good sign following the other two excellent Monday night games they have been involved in this season.

Their win over Celta Vigo and defeat at Espanyol were entertaining goal-filled encounters and Coral price the Basques to claim another win at 8/5 (2.60). Granada for their part have been less exciting to watch and are without a win since the opening day of the season. They are offered also at 8/5 (2.60) with the draw available at 9/4 (3.25).

This then is a match that Granada will be desperate to get something out of, not least because next week they face a trip to high-flying Villarreal.

The Andalusians' matches this season have been generally tight low-scoring affairs, quite the opposite of Atheltic's matches, so it is a little tricky to see how these two differing sides will get on.

However, backing a half-time draw at evens (2.00) looks to be a decent option, with this bet paying out in each of Granada's last three matches and in both of Athletic's last two games.

The Basques have lost their last two away matches, though Granada are not exactly high on confidence. Expect a slightly tense game, which could well lead to a half-time stalemate and therefore to punters doubling their money.
