With the Sounders impressive at home, and Chivas awful on the road, Phil Kitromilides is backing a comfortable win for the team from SeattleSeattle's hopes of reaching the play-offs are in danger of being dashed by their failure to retain a level of consistency. While at CenturyLink Field they remain extremely hard to beat, the Sounders' form on the road has been nothing less than catastrophic.
Three points are an absolute must then, and fortunately for the team from Washington state they have a home tie against arguably the worst team in the MLS, Chivas USA.
The Sounders' have lost just two of their last 16 games at home and are priced at 2/5 (1.40) for the win, while the visitors, who have recorded just one win their last 18 away fixtures can be backed at 15/2 (8.50).
As previously discussed the Sounders' form away from Seattle has been pretty poor, yet their only victory in a run of four defeats from their last five games came at Chivas at the start of June.
They are clearly superior to their opponents, and while Chivas have frustrated a few teams recently by claiming draws, this should in theory be a comfortable win for the Sounders.
They are offered at 21/20 (2.05) to be leading at half time and full time and that looks big enough to invest in.
Seattle's home record, coupled with their propensity for scoring in the first half which they have done 10 times in their last 15 home games, means this bet has a great chance of paying out against a side with an abysmal away record.
