thumbnail Hello,

Aurelio Andreazzoli's side are hot on the heels of fourth-placed Fiorentina, and Al Hain-Cole expects them to increase the pressure by collecting three comfortable points

After Saturday’s smash-and-grab win over Fiorentina, Roma host Chievo on Wednesday hoping to collect another three points that would bring them level with the fourth-placed Tuscan side.

Caretaker boss Aurelio Andreazzoli has overseen a Roman renaissance since replacing Zdenek Zeman in February, and victory tonight would be his ninth in 13 league matches - the best return of any coach in the club's history.

The Giallorossi are firm 1/4 (1.25) favourites with Paddy Power to overcome their mid-table opponents, who have lost 12 of their 17 Serie A away games this season.

Eugenio Corini’s men pulled off a shock 1-0 win in the reverse fixture, but are a long 11/1 (12.00) to complete the double, while odds of 11/2 (6.50) are available on them securing their first away league draw of the season.

The visitors will have to improve considerably on their recent performances in order to get anything out of the game at the Stadio Olimpico, starting in attack.

The Flying Donkeys have scored just twice in their last six league fixtures, and their only goal in the last four was scored by Sergio Pellissier, who is absent through injury.

In contrast, Roma are the top scorers in the division, and have not failed to hit the back of the net in 19 home games this season, so should have no problem in comfortably out-scoring their blunt opponents.

Having kept clean sheets in each of their last two games, the hosts look certain to win by at least a couple of goals this evening, and odds of 8/11 (1.73) offer solid value on them overcoming the one-goal handicap.

In Erik Lamela, Pablo Osvaldo and Franceso Totti, Andreazzoli is blessed with a trio of forwards who have scored 43 league goals between them this season, but it is Osvaldo who has been hogging the limelight recently.

The Argentina-born Italy international has scored five goals in his last four Serie A games - opening the scoring on each occasion - so is well worth backing at 3/1 (4.00) to strike first here.
