Mallorca-Celta Vigo Betting Preview: Back a draw at half-time with these two strugglers

After some big priced winners over the weekend, our La Liga expert Phil Kitromilides believes a half-time stalemate is on the cards this evening
The resurgence of Deportivo in the last few weeks has puts these two sides in real trouble, with Depor's four successive wins moving them from bottom of the table and without a prayer to out of the relegation zone and flying.

They are full of momentum, something Mallorca and Celta are both desperately short of, and this battle between the division's bottom two sides will be wrought with tension. BetVictor price Mallorca as the favorites at 21/20 (2.05) while Celta, who have by far the worst away record in the division, are offered at 29/10 (2.90). The draw meanwhile can be backed at 13/5 (3.60).

Predicting which team will score in this game is not easy if we look at recent statistics.

On the one hand, Mallorca have failed to keep a clean sheet in their previous 19 matches. On the other, Celta have been genuinely woeful on the road managing a paltry 11 goals all season. Bearing this in mind, backing both teams to score at 5/6 (1.83) does not overly appeal.

Instead in a tight game between two sides badly out of form, backing a half-time draw at 6/5 (2.20) looks a much better option.

This bet paid paid out in Mallorca's last home game against fellow strugglers Deportivo and looks like providing punters with an excellent chance for some healthy profit.

For a value bet consider the price of 2/1 (3.00) for a goal-less first half which could be a shrewd investment, if the match is the tense, cagey affair we so often see between two sides for whom defeat would be disastrous.
