Pete Nordsted has analysed the statistics around two of the Premier League's biggest games this weekend and expects Rafael Benitez to claim his first win in charge of the BluesIn Saturday's early kick-off Rafa Benitez takes his Chelsea side to east London to face a West Ham team that have started the season in good form.
Historically though, West Ham do not perform that well when hosting the top four Premier League sides and their recent home record reads won none, drawn four and lost six.
Chelsea’s title aspirations seem to have come off the rails in recent weeks and they have now failed to record a victory in any of their last six Premier League Matches.
However, they do have a very good record when playing at West Ham and their recent record reads won three, drawn one and lost none.
The statistics suggest Chelsea may maintain their dominance over the Hammers here and at 5/6 (1.83) look well priced to win this game.
Later on in the day champions Manchester City will be looking to build on their unbeaten start to the season when they host Everton at Etihad Stadium. Roberto Mancini’s side have a very strong record at home to teams of Everton's grading which reads won eight, drawn none and lost two.
Everton have a very good record at Manchester City though, winning four of the last five meetings and indeed David Moyes’ side have only lost two of the last 10 head-to-head matches.
However, it could be argued the tide has turned somewhat and when looking at Everton’s overall away record to the Premier league elite. It reads a fairly mediocre won two, drawn two and lost six in their last 10 games.
The Premier League champions can be backed at 8/15 (1.53) with bet365 and given the above stats they look realistically priced.
However, if we take into consideration that since the start of the 2009/10 season the Toffees have recorded 22 away defeats and only two of these have been by three or more goals it certainly looks realistic to enhance this price by taking Manchester City to win by 1 or 2 goals in the winning margin market and this pays Evens (2.00).
To use a £10 stake you would look to do the following:
Place £5.56 on Manchester City to win by 1 goal at 13/5 (3.60).
Place £4.44 on Manchester City to win by 2 goals at 7/2 (4.50)
Both of the above bets return £20, making the price Evens (2.0) so you make £10 if either of the above come in.
