Manchester United staged a sensational comeback to stun Braga at Old Trafford in the Champions League two weeks ago and Sir Alex Ferguson’s side will travel to Portugal on Wednesday night knowing that victory will secure their place in the last 16 of this year’s competition.
United, who trailed 2-0 at Old Trafford before eventually winning 3-2, are favourites to get the victory that they need to ensure their place in the knockout stages of the competition and can be backed at a tempting 13/10 (2.30) with Bet365 to get the better of their Portuguese opponents once again.
Braga, though, will be smarting from a defeat which severely dented their own hopes of progressing to the next stage of the competition and Jose Peseiro’s men are available at 11/5 (3.20) with Bet365 to grab a crucial three points on Wednesday evening.
The same firm go 23/10 (3.30) that the match ends in a draw.
The 3-2 defeat against Manchester United is the only loss in eight for the Portuguese side but United will make the trip to Portugal feeling confident following four successive Premier League victories, including 3-2 and 2-1 wins against Chelsea and Arsenal respectively.
It should be noted that Manchester United have kept just one clean sheet in their last 10 outings and, subsequently, the 8/13 (1.62) from Bet365 for both teams to hit the net here looks like an obvious selection.
Better value, though, may lie in backing three or more goals to be scored, especially when it is considered that only two of United’s 15 competitive matches this term have featured fewer than three goals.
Braga, too, have hit the goal trail in recent weeks, scoring an impressive 22 goals in their last eight matches and Bet365 offer a juicy 8/11 (1.73) for three or more goals to be scored on Wednesday night.
United have hit the ground running in their last three matches, bagging the opening goal, but prior to that, slow starts have plagued Sir Alex Ferguson’s side this season with United conceding first in no fewer than eight of their previous 12 matches.
On six occasions already this season, the Red Devils have won from behind and the 9/1 (10.0) quote on offer from Bet365 for them to repeat the feat here is too big to ignore and should be backed accordingly.
