thumbnail Hello,

After landing a 14/5 shot last week, Jonathan Day has picked three European fixtures which he believes can continue to provide punters with generous profits

Malaga
VS
Rayo Vallecano
Kick off: Saturday, November 3 at 15:00 GMT
Tip: Malaga to win at 2/5 (1.40) with Bet365

Malaga’s goalless draw against Espanyol last weekend earned los Boquerones their fifth clean sheet of the season and the Andalusian side boast the meanest defence in La Liga.

Defeat to high-flying Atletico Madrid has been the only blemish in an otherwise encouraging season for coach Manuel Pellegrini and Malaga have won five of their last six matches at La Rosaleda.

Roque Santa Cruz scored a couple of goals in the Copa del Rey earlier in the week, but it’s young Spanish midfielders Isco and Ignacio Camacho that have provided the foundation for Pellegrini.

Visitors Rayo Vallecano were hit for five by Barcelona last time out and Paco Jemez’s side have now conceded 21 goals in just six games.

Their record on the road is notoriously poor, with defeats in 10 of their last 11 away games in La Liga, but young Brazilian Leo Baptistao has showed his quality in front of goal.

Malaga won the corresponding fixture 4-2 last season and another victory will be vital for Pellegrini’s hopes of retaining Champions League football.

West Ham
VS
Manchester City
Kick off: Saturday, November 3 at 17:30 GMT
Tip: Manchester City to win at 4/6 (1.67) with Bet365

Manchester City stumbled to an unconvincing victory over Swansea last time out to maintain the pressure on Chelsea and Manchester United at the top of the table.

The champions have won their last four games in the Premier League despite Roberto Mancini’s experimentation with three centre backs, but it appears they have picked up a winning habit despite less than impressive performances.

Hosts West Ham were comfortably outplayed by Wigan last time out and the Hammers generous opening fixture list is fast coming to an end.

Sam Allardyce has picked up a good set of results on his return to the Premier League and the east London club have been typically strong at Upton Park with three victories in five games, albeit against lesser opposition.

Despite that, Manchester City are undefeated in 10 of the last 11 meetings with West Ham and the Premier League champions will be looking for all three points on Saturday.

Bayer Leverkusen
VS
Fortuna Dusseldorf
Kick off: Sunday, October 28 at 16:00 BST
Tip: Bayer Leverkusen to win at 4/9 (1.44) with Bet365

Bayer Leverkusen inflicted Bayern Munich’s first defeat of the season with a last-gasp 2-1 victory at the Allianz Arena on Sunday.

The Werkself have extended their unbeaten run in the Bundesliga to six games and Sami Hyypia’s side are yet to taste defeat at the BayArena.

Stefan Kiessling has scored six goals, whilst forward Andre Schurrle has been contributing to Bayer's free scoring mood of late, the hosts netting at least two goals in their last five Bundesliga games.

Visitors Fortuna Dusseldorf have lost three on the bounce and the early defensive strength that typified Norbert Meier’s side has quickly evaporated following heavy defeats to Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg.

Dusseldorf’s two away victories have come against the bottom two sides in the division and the lack of goals in the side will be concerning for Meier.

Bayer Leverkusen go into Sunday’s match full of confidence and the Werkself should roar to success at the BayArena.
