Middlesbrough meanwhile, are well accustomed to life in this most competitive of divisions and finished last season just outside the play off places.
That they managed to end the campaign as high as seventh in the table was due largely to their away form, winning 10 matches on the road compared with just eight at home.
This season however that trend has hitherto been reversed with Boro winning three times in their own back yard and losing all three matches away from the Riverside.
Bet365 price the Teesiders at 7/2 (4.50) to claim their first away win of the season, while a victory for Blackburn can be backed at 4/5 (1.80).
Yet looking at results so far this season, goals would appear to be on the agenda at Ewood Park. Both sides have kept only one clean sheet apiece in their six league matches, with Blackburn scoring in every game they have played, and Boro netting in all but one league encounter in which they have featured.
Both teams to score is offered at 4/6 (1.66) and this looks like a solid selection, but they price on over 2.5 goals 3/4 (1.75) could hold more value.
This bet has paid out in every one of Rovers' last four league games and in four out of Boro's last five. With both sides in decent scoring form, but struggling to keep clean sheets, a high scoring affair looks on the cards, and the price of 3/4 (1.75) for at least three goals to be netted looks big enough to invest in.
For a value bet try backing Blackburn to score over 2.5 goals at 12/5 (3.40).
This bet has proved the correct selection in two of their last three games, and with Rovers' boasting an in-form strike force including Nuno Gomes and Jordan Rhodes who have seven goals between them already, backing them to put at least three past Boro could prove a wise move.
