Thursday's Bet of the Day: Lazio to record a comfortable win over Cesena

Cesena arrive in Rome knowing that the last team to try and beat Lazio at home were dispatched comfortably 2-0, and that last team just happened to be AC Milan, a side far superior to Cesena.

So on paper this looks like a home banker for Lazio who have been strong at the Stadio Olimpico this season, unbeaten in their last five games there with Juventus and Genoa the only sides to have managed a victory there this campaign.

The price of 20/41 (1.49) offered by AllYouBet on a home win, is just about right for a side in the Champions League places hosting the team second bottom, and punters looking to invest heavily could do worse than take it as a way of winning around half their stake back.

However, this might not appeal as much as odds of 5/4 (2.25) for Lazio half time/full time which look far more tempting. Lazio have led at half-time and full-time in four of their last five victories and this match should see another win for the side from the capital, especially when you consider that Cesena have lost seven of their last ten matches.

Lazio have made a habit of scoring early in this season, managing first half goals in twelve Serie A matches so  far. Another early goal in this game would almost certainly be enough to ensure a half time/full time win and the price of 5/4 looks too big to turn down.
