Papiss Cisse is 8/11 (1.73) on to outgun Bobby Zamora in Sportingbet’s season match bet after both strikers netted debut goals following deadline day moves.
The Senegalese international made an immediate impact from the substitute’s bench to slam home a stunning half-volley to hand Newcastle all three points against Aston Villa on his debut.
With Leon Best out for up to six weeks, the new £10m hitman is expected to feature alongside fellow countryman Demba Ba in the Toon attack, as Alan Pardew’s men push for a Champions League place.
Despite spending in the January transfer window, Bobby Zamora’s QPR could be fighting relegation this season, and with goals expected to be at a premium, the former Fulham forward looks an unlikely Even-money (2.00) shot to score more Premier League goals than Cisse.
There’s also an intriguing battle in Serie A as Udinese’s Antonio Di Natalie goes head-to-head with Milan Zlatan Ibrahimovic in a season match bet special.
Veteran forward Di Natale currently leads the goalscoring charts with 16 but Swedish star Ibrahimovic is just a goal behind and looks the value pick at 5/4 (2.25).
Nine of Milan’s final 16 Serie A fixtures are against bottom-half sides and with Massimiliano Allegri’s team averaging nearly two goals per game; Ibrahimovic is likely to find himself amongst the goals, albeit after the situation over his impending suspesion is resolved.
Di Natale holds an imperious record – netting a goal every other game for Udinese – but at 4/7 (1.57) looks a little short should the Zebrette’s push for a top two finish run out of steam. With Milan looking to retain their title Ibrahimovic looks the better value here.
