Two of the Premier League’s newest recruits, Norwich City and QPR can upset the league’s old guard on Saturday afternoon by claiming victories over Bolton Wanderers and Wolves respectively and at odds of 14/5 (3.80) offer some tempting returns for eagle eyed punters.

Bolton might be enjoying their 12th successive season in England’s top flight, but they may well struggle to see off the challenge of last season’s Championship runners-up Norwich when the two sides clash at Carrow Road this weekend.

Norwich are on an incredible run at the moment and, in fact, have suffered defeat just twice in their last 11 matches – a sequence of results which has catapulted Paul Lambert’s side to the relative safety of mid-table and has helped them to accumulate an 11 point cushion from 18th place Blackburn Rovers.

The Canaries may have won just four of their 11 home matches this term but with confidence flowing, despite a midweek loss to in-form Sunderland, they can be trusted to get the better of a poor Bolton Wanderers side on Saturday and at Evens (2.0) they look a sound investment.

QPR, meanwhile, have found it tougher to acclimatise to the rigours of the Premier League following their promotion last season.

However, following significant investment in his squad this week, Mark Hughes will feel that he has a side more than capable of defeating Mick McCarthy’s Wolves, when the two sides meet at Loftus Road.

Rangers are 9/10 (1.90) to claim the win.

The signing of Djibril Cisse and Bobby Zamora this week should help the west London club find the path to goal when Wolves visit on Saturday and Mark Hughes’ side can be backed with confidence to follow on from Wednesday’s draw against Aston Villa by claiming three points from this game to complete the double.
