After the drama of the FA Cup the Premier League returns this Tuesday and I can see tomorrow night's matches being a little bit of a minefield for a few of the top clubs. As a result three of the matches feature in my Drawmaster selections.
League leaders Manchester City travel to Everton, having only won one of their last five head to head matches at Goodison Park.
The Toffees do have a reasonable home record against teams of Manchester City's grading which reads W5 D1 L4, so it seems David Moyes’ side certainly raise their game against the higher calibre opposition and I will be backing the draw at 5/2 (3.50) with Bet365.
Despite Liverpool’s heroics on Saturday against Manchester United they may not have it all their own way when they visit Wolves at Molineux in a game where, for differing reasons, both teams will be desperate for points.
There looks to be no value in backing Kenny Dalglish’s men who have a fairly mediocre W3 D4 L3 record away at teams of Wolves grading and once again the draw makes for some appeal priced at 12/5 (3.60) with Bet365.
Finally we have Chelsea visiting the Liberty Stadium to face a Swansea side that have been in great form at home having previously beaten Arsenal and forcing a draw against high flying Spurs.
There have been two or less goals in eight of Swansea’s opening 11 home games so this suggests a tight low scoring encounter. Although Andre Villas-Boas’ side desperately need the points I can see them once again drawing away to a side they would previously have been expected to beat comfortably. The draw in this game can be backed at 12/5 (3.60) with Bet365.
Pete's Midweek tips:
