Wednesday's Bet of the day: Expect a low scoring match between Liverpool and Manchester City

Manchester City visit Liverpool in the second leg of their League Cup semi-final on Wednesday, and with Championship side Cardiff waiting for them in the final, both teams will be viewing this as an opportunity to line up their first trophy of the season.
City need to overcome a one goal deficit from their home leg but their record this season would indicate they are more than capable of achieving just that.
The Citizens have won a whopping 16 matches in the current campaign by two goals or more and they have the firepower to make that 17 against Liverpool. You can back City to progress at 45/23 (2.96) with 188Bet.
But Anfield is arguably the last place that Roberto Mancini’s men would want to be going to chase a game. Liverpool are undefeated at home since May of last year and no Premier League ground has seen fewer goals this season.
While seven draws out of 11 in the league might have left the fans underwhelmed, a stalemate will be all that is needed on Wednesday night. Liverpool can be backed to qualify at 7/17 (1.41) with 188Bet.
With early season title ambitions long since gone and a tough FA Cup fourth round tie against Manchester United at the weekend, this competition surely represents Kenny Dalglish’s best chance to bring silverware back to Anfield. As a result, expect Liverpool to be in battling mood – and the 11/14 (1.79) on offer with 188Bet for under 2.5 goals is the Bet of the day.
This has all the hallmarks of a tight contest and that is influencing the choice of Value Bet in this one. Both sides have been drawing the majority of their games at the interval and this would be the outcome I’d expect to see at Anfield on Wednesday too. You can back the draw at half-time at Evens (2.0) with 188Bet.
