The West Midlands rivals played out a lifeless 0-0 draw at St Andrew’s but the replay at Molineux will – at the very least – be a more spirited affair.

Birmingham come into this game fresh from hammering Millwall 6-0 away from home in the league and confidence should be sky high in the Blues camp. The Championship side are 11/4 (3.75) to win this one on their travels but with a congested fixture list it could be a question of how much Chris Hughton’s men want to get the victory.

Blues face the prospect of playing on Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday through most of February as they continue to claw back the fixtures missed earlier in the season due to their European adventures, a factor that could have serious implications on their promising promotion push.

Hughton rested key players for the first tie and with a trip to Sheffield United awaiting the winners here it seems likely that rotation will be the order of the day once again.

Wolves for their part seem certain to field a second-string side given they have a crucial Premier League match against Birmingham’s city rivals Aston Villa less than 72 hours after this game. However, given both sides will be using their squads, this should play into the hands of the superior depth of the top-flight outfit who can draft in the likes of Kevin Doyle, Adam Hammill, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Nenad Milijas for this one.

For that reason, Wolves to end their run of eight games without a win is the bet of the day at evens (2.0) with Bet365.

If you’re looking for a value bet then Ebanks-Blake is available on the anytime goalscorer market at 2/1 (3.0) which is longer odds than strike partner Kevin Doyle.

Ebanks-Blake’s hasn’t set the Premier League alight but is a two-time Championship top scorer and should relish the opportunity to face defenders at that level once again and he is a capable finisher, especially in front of the Molineux faithful.

Bet of the Day – Wolves to win at evens (2.0) with Bet365

Value Bet – Sylvan Ebanks-Blake anytime goalscorer at 2/1 (3.0) with Bet365
