Monday's acca of the day: Wins for Sheffield Wednesday, West Ham and Shrewsbury

Top tipster Adam Bate has picked out three solid selections which return just over 23/10 as we look forward to another round of fixtures throughout the leagues in England

Bank Holiday games can be dangerous ones for the tipster with tired legs and unpredictable team selections aplenty. But Sheffield Wednesday are about as reliable a bet as you’re going to find when playing at Hillsborough.

They are one of only two League One sides with an unbeaten home record and play host to Tranmere Rovers on Monday. Tranmere have lost their last four away matches and – despite a recent wobble - Gary Megson’s men should have enough to secure the win here.

Next we turn to West Ham’s game against Coventry at Upton Park and again look to back a home win. Sam Allardyce’s team haven’t always been at their best in front of their own fans – but then they haven’t played Coventry yet. The Midlands outfit are the only Championship side without a victory on the road and it’s difficult to see that changing in east London.

To complete our set of three home wins we drop down to League Two and look to Shrewsbury versus Northampton. Shrewsbury have conceded fewer goals at home than any other side in the division and also boast the only unbeaten record on their own patch. As a result, lowly Northampton won’t have enough to avoid defeat there.

Accumulator of the day – Sheffield Wednesday, West Ham and Shrewsbury all to win at 3.36 with 188Bet.
