Monday night football is served up with the Canaries hosting the Mackems with both clubs tied on five points. After a slow start to the season, both sides finally got a win under their belt a week ago with Norwich defeating Bolton on the road and Sunderland smashing Stoke 4-0 at home.
Considering that Norwich are a newly promoted club and Sunderland spent big in the summer, it's a tad odd there is so little to choose in the match odds. Paul Lambert's team are D1 L1 at Carrow Road against sides who are in a similar class bracket to Sunderland (Stoke City & WBA). A price of 2.45 is certainly inviting.
Far more was expected of Sunderland this season than W1 D2 L2 with the sole win being surprising demolition of Stoke City. Steve Bruce's men have done better away from the Stadium of Light and are unbeaten in four games on the road stretching back to last season (W2 D2). They've drawn at Liverpool and Swansea in 2011/12.
From a betting perspective, no side stands out as a surefire winner. The draw appeals @ 3.25 with under 2.5 goals trading @ 1.72. Punters wanting a more intriguing bet can snap up a penalty to be taken @ 4.0 secure in the knowledge that Norwich have given a spot-kick away in every EPL game so far this season.

"Both these teams come into this game on the back of good wins so someone has to be disappointed – and I think it will be Norwich. Sunderland clicked against Stoke so I see them winning 2-1, which pays 9/1 (10.0), and Seb Larsson seems to be scoring goals so I’ll plump for him at 21/5 (5.20) to add another."
Prediction: Norwich 1-2 Sunderland
Match Odds: Norwich 2.45, Draw 3.25, Sunderland 2.80 (Sportingbet)
