Difficult as it is to accept the World Cup is now over. Dry your tears though and snap up some superb early value with our top five early value tips.
5) Thomas Mueller to be top scorer in Euro 2012 - 20/1 (21.0)
Germany's young sensation was playing third division football just over a year ago and was a relative unknown to many before the World Cup began. Not anymore. Mueller bagged five goals from just five shots on target and supplied three assists to pick up the Golden Boot. Oh, and he nabbed the award for the best young player at the tournament too. In two years time he will be even better.
4) Roma to win Serie A - 4/1 (5.0)
Stop laughing down at the back. Yes, we know Claudio Ranieri is the ultimate nice guy loser so why are we backing the Giallorossi? Stability and a sparkling 2009/10 season. Ranieri led his native Roma to a stunning title tilt which just came unstuck towards the end of a long season. Rivals Inter, AC Milan and Juventus have all changed managers over the summer so Ranieri's Roma should take advantage of any teething problems with the northern outfits to put themselves in pole position for the title. That's the plan anyway.
3) Spain to win Euro 2012 - 4/1 (5.0)
The holders and new world champions will fear nobody when they defend their crown in two years time. Spain made a mockery of the history books by winning the World Cup despite losing their first game and became the first European side to win the trophy on foreign soil. If they add another title in 2012 few would dispute that this is the greatest team in history.
2) Real Madrid to win La Liga - Evens (2.0)
Jose Mourinho always wins the league in his first season in charge. He did it at Porto, Chelsea and then Inter. Barcelona are the favourites at 4/5 (1.80) but didn't the Special One get the better of the Blaugrana in the Champions League? Back him to do it again in his rookie La Liga season. The form suggests he will.
1) Liverpool to finish in top four of EPL - 27/20 (2.35)
A year ago the Anfield side were favourites to win the league but have since dropped to better than even money to even finish in the top four after a disastrous campaign under Rafael Benitez. Reds fans should look forward to a better season under the astute Roy Hodgson, who tends to get the best out of what he has. Manchester City will throw money to break into the top four although that is no guarantee of success. A well drilled Hodgson inspired Liverpool can sneak fourth and is definitely worth a bet.
Paul the Octopus to get all his Euro 2012 predictions right - 1000/1 (1001.0)
Our tentacled friend has retired from predicting games after a 100 per cent record at the World Cup ensuring all betting editors remain in a job...for now. Can he be tempted back? Perhaps for the right price but the short life expectancy of an octopus means it's unlikely he'll be around in two years' time. Everybody now: Aaahh.
