Neil Lennon's men, who secured the Glasgow side's 44th title by 16 points last term, will play their second fixture a fortnight later, with their August 10 match with St Mirren postponed to accomodate a friendly with Liverpool in Dublin.

Last season's runners-up Motherwell open their campaign with a tricky trip to Hibernian at Easter Road, while third-place St Johnstone will host Hearts, who remain gripped in financial struggles and are set to begin the season with a 15-point deduction for entering administration.

Newly-promoted Partick will host Dundee United at Firhill on the opening day after a nine-year spell out of the top flight.

Meanwhile Rangers will kick off their Second Division campaign against Brechin after securing promotion with a 24-point advantage over second-placed Peterhead.
