Northern Ireland international didn't even want to speak to Tangerines...Rangers striker Kyle Lafferty has admitted that he is happy that the club turned down an approach from Blackpool with regard to a transfer to Bloomfield Road.
The Seasiders tried to sign the ex-Burnley man on deadline day, only to be vetoed by the Glaswegian giants. And the 23-year-old - who has had his share of negative publicity at Ibrox - hopes to prove his mettle with the Gers.
"I didn't know where I stood in the summer when the boss [Walter Smith] brought two strikers in. Thankfully he told me I was still in his plans," Lafferty told the Daily Record.
"It would be very hard for me to leave a club that I support. I know I'll win trophies here and at such a young age, that's hard to beat
"I didn't know about the Blackpool bid until the last day of the transfer window. Rangers knocked it back and I didn't even want to speak to them.
"I'm happy at Rangers and I want to carry on at Ibrox."
