Neil Lennon says David James turned down Celtic in favour of Bristol City due to 'family reasons'
England goalkeeper snubbed chance to move to Celtic Park...

England keeper James opted to remain in England and join City on a one-year deal rather than joining the SPL outfit who are in desperate need of a goalkeeper after the departure of Artur Boruc to Fiorentina.
"I think [James' snub] is more to do with the family reasons and being sort of closer to home so that's why he chose Bristol City," Lennon told Sky Sports News.
"He would have been ideal for us in terms of experience, presence and charisma. He ticks all the boxes there. It's one of those unfortunate things in football."
The Bhoys boss holds no bitterness towards the former Portsmouth keeper, however, and says that his reasons for not signing on at Celtic Park were genuine.
"It's a genuine personal reason. It's nothing to do with money. I spoke to his personal representatives today. We wished them good luck with that," he said.
Lukasz Zaluska remains Celtic’s No.1 and Lennon feels the Polish keeper needs to impress if he wants to remain at the top of the pecking order.
"He's No.1 at the minute," said Lennon. "He needs to persuade me that he can be No.1 consistently."
