Beram Kayal completes Celtic move from Maccabi Haifa
Israeli midfielder becomes seventh signing at Parkhead this summer
by George Watts
Celtic have completed the signing of the Israeli midfielder Beram Kayal on a four-year contract from Maccabi Haifa, the SPL club have announced.
Kayal becomes Neil Lennon’s seventh summer signing of the summer and will look to break into a side which already has a number of players vying for a midfield spot.
The club’s latest signing comes a day after Lennon’s side fell to a potentially catastrophic 3-0 defeat in the first leg of their Champions League qualifier against Braga in Portugal.
Kayal has 13 caps for his country and is regarded as one of the most promising talents in Israel.
Kayal will be unveiled later today at the club’s Lennoxtown training complex.
