Cameroon striker Samuel Eto’o has refuted rumours of a possible move to French side Paris Saint-Germain by once against stating that his immediate future lies in Russia with Anzhi Makhachkala.
While persistent rumours suggested that the Cameroonian striker could complete his PSG move during the upcoming summer transfer window, Eto’o has made it clear through his personal website that he intends to stay in the Russian Dagestan province and continue his European adventure with his club.
A statement on his website read: "The qualification for the Europa league, far from being an end in itself is, I hope, the beginning of a great adventure that will take us on top of European football.
"This has been my ambition and my goal as I arrived in Dagestan and I count on everyone that we will devote the beginning of next season even better by completing our league and showing us worthy of our place in the Europa League. Thank you all."
Eto’o has made clear his ambition which is to win a European title with his club side and next season will be the first test of its kind for Anzhi in the Europa League.
