However, Neymar has stated ahead of Santos' centenary celebrations on Saturday that he may never leave the Vila Belmiro.
"Staying here until the end of my career would be a good gift [to the club], because I'm a Santos fan," the striker told Globoesporte.
"This is the team where I have grown up. I've been at the club since I was 12 and have a wonderful story here. I want to end my career here."
Neymar also revealed that he is uncomfortable with the constant comparisons with Santos legend Pele, claiming that he is not even on the same level as Robinho.
"I do not think I am the greatest after Pele," the 20-year-old stated. "Robinho is my idol; he will always be better than me.
"I still have much to do and to achieve. I'm lacking so much. And I do not play to be the greatest of all time. I play to help Santos."
Neymar, who has netted eight goals in 16 appearances for Brazil, joined the youth team ranks at Santos in 2003.
